Building a SQL Server Health Check Report

Just like you need a regular physical exam, your SQL Servers need regular critical care from a trained professional. A good check up is more than just running a few DMV queries and producing a laundry list of best practices - when done right a health check will give you a list of symptoms, a set of risks and potential mitigations, and a prioritized action plan. In this session, you'll learn the basic tools and techniques that a database administrator needs to get started creating a process to assess server health and start performing regular SQL Server checkups.

About Jeremiah Peschka:

I love building software. I help developers, DBAs, and engineers build fast, robust, scalable solutions.

I've been involved in all aspects of application development and deployment: as a database and emerging technologies expert at Quest Software, and before that as a sysadmin, developer, and DBA.

About Jeremiah: Jeremiah Peschka sees the magic in technology. He knows how to do things now, and he also knows how to think about possibilities. Jeremiah likes to imagine new kinds of indexes, new kinds of teams, new kinds of applications. This means that when you need to reinvent something, or get unblocked, you should talk to Jeremiah.
